Grooming Requirements

For some pets grooming is an essential requirement as without it hair can become matted and sore. Others just need a bath and a nail clip now and then. Whatever your pets needs The Grange Retreat can help.

A Little About How We Groom

  • Dog and Cat Friendly

Getting groomed can be quite scary for pets, so we do our best to reassure your pets that it isn't a stressful process.
  • Kind to Skin and Fur

We use products that are gentle and natural, such as aloe to help fur shine while being kind to skin.
  • Tailored Care

We groom to your requirements, just let us know the style and length you want and we will make it happen!

Frequently Asked Questions

We know that you want your pet to be well looked after when they come for a pamper, that’s why we have includes some Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have a question that isn’t listed here please contact our team and we would be happy to help.

  • I’d like to book my puppy in for a grooming session but he’s very excitable and rarely sits still. Will you still be able to accommodate him?

Grooming sessions on puppies are a great idea to get them accustomed to the process.  If we have an excitable pup we usually have two people on hand, one to keep the pup’s interest whilst the other clips or grooms, eventually the pup will learn that the sessions are for relaxing and we even have dogs that fall asleep on us!

  • Do you provide grooming for both cats and dogs?

We do provide grooming for both cats and dogs, we have had several elderly cats in requiring matted fur removal and nail clipping, most realise we are helping and allow us to do what is needed.

  • As part of your grooming service, can we request our dog’s hair to be cut in a specific style?

Yes of course, our groomer would be happy to accommodate any request, we always have a conversation with the owner about what they would like from their groom prior to beginning our pampering.
